You're "it." You're a caregiver - completely responsible for a parent, spouse, or friend. All the things you need to know and do, the paperwork you're getting, and the requests for information are overwhelming. Become an Informed Caregiver: What You Should Know When Caring for an Aging Loved One, explains what you need to know (and why) and how to get organized. You'll learn what (and who) to ask about your loved one's: -Health -Medical care -Housing situation -Finances -Transportation needs -Personal property -End-of-life wishes This book will reduce the frustration, time, chaos, and unknowns that go along with caregiving. If you're ready to be a proactive caregiver, this book is for you.

Deanne Morgan, a professional, residential organizer for eight years, worked with seniors and their adult children to downsize, de-clutter, and discover missing documents. These experiences led her to understand just how much caregivers don't know about all the information they need and will receive once they're responsible for a parent, spouse, or other relative. She also began to understand that her myriad professional experiences - attorney, editor, librarian, teacher, and organizer - gave her unique insights into what caregivers need to know and how to effectively present the knowledge. After closing her organizing business, Deanne concentrated on writing Become an Informed Caregiver: What You Should Know When Caring for an Aging Loved One and taking care of her 80-year-old mother. She'd also begun a teaching career, first as an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at North Carolina Central University, and then as a Senior Lecturing Fellow at Duke University School of Law. Deanne currently teaches legal research at Duke Law. When she's not teaching, writing, or caring for her mom, Deanne enjoys napping, reading, knitting, and paper crafts. She lives in Durham, NC.
