"Cogito, ergo sum," said Ren� Descartes in the 17th century. I think, therefore I am. And his philosophy that the body and the mind are separate entities, existing independently of each other set the tone for modern medical science. In the last few decades, irrefutable research from around the globe proves that this is not the case. The body and the mind are inseparable from each other.
The mind is not shackled by the confines of space and time. The body is. When these two fundamental elements of our existence are not on the same plane, there is an incongruity. It allows us to experience the interconnectedness of the creation which sets us on the path towards a richer life full of meaning and intensity. Consequently, it is a realization of the being itself.
