For over forty years, a family secret lay hidden - shrouded in silence, shame, and unanswered questions.

One revelation shattered the fragile illusions of a struggling family, exposing long-buried truths that changed everything.

In Behind Closed Doors, Christine Elizabeth shares a deeply personal journey through deception, loss, and the painful ripple of generational silence. As she unveils her family's carefully guarded faade, the truth reshapes her world, and that of her siblings.

Christine now faces a reality so different from the one she grew up believing, and must confront the hardest question of all:

Can compassion and forgiveness exist alongside betrayal?

Raw and courageous, this memoir explores how society once dictated silence, shame and humiliation - revealing the heavy cost of untold stories.

A moving story of family, identity and resilience, Behind Closed Doors invites readers to reflect on the stories we choose to carry.

Elizabeth, Christine: - Christine Elizabeth lives in Brisbane, Australia, with her husband, two of her children, and one of their partners. Her other children from their large, blended family also live nearby, and they all continue to enjoy Sunday night dinners and other family get togethers regularly. Christine began her career as a nurse, though her childhood dream was to become a journalist. While that dream wasn't realised, she has found great joy in the writing process of her book Behind Closed Doors. Currently, Christine enjoys helping others improve their daily lives through her work as a support worker, meditation and Reiki teacher and numerologist. The writing experience of her first book has been deeply moving, and Christine is already planning her second book.
