Dieses Buch wendet sich an Dozenten und Studenten der Stromungslehre an Hoheren technischen Lehranstalten, Fachhochschulen und verwandten Lehranstalten mit praxis- orientiertem Ausbildungsweg. Das griindliche Studium eines schwierigen Faches wie der Stromungslehre erfordert nach Ansicht der Autoren drei Dinge: Theoriestudium, Aufgabenrechnen, Laborversuche. Mit dem Lernproze an Hand von Laborversuchen hat sich der erstgenannte Autor bereits in einem friiheren Werk bef t [1]. Dieses Buch will eine Hilfestellung fUr das Aufgabenrechnen geben. Es enthalt etwa 250 Aufgabenstellungen und Fragen mit Losungsangaben. Nach Ansicht der Autoren ist es fUr den Lernproze nicht giinstig, wenn sich aile Aufgaben im Buch vorgerechnet vorfinden. Es wurden daher injedem Abschnitt immer nur eines oder wenige exemplarische Beispiele vorgerechnet; fUr die iibrigen finden sich nur Angaben und Losungen. Das Aufgabenrechnen solI nach Ansicht der Autoren mehreren Zwecken dienen: Festigung des Theoriewissens. Sichere Einiibung in die einfachsten Grundgesetze wie etwa in das Ansetzen der Bernoullischen Gleichung und des Impulssatzes fUr praktische Aufgabenstellungen. Das Erlernen der Anwendung und der Handhabung des aus der bisherigen Erfahrung reichlich vorliegenden Versuchsmaterials aus dem Bereich der Stromungslehre wie etwa die Vorausberechnung von Stromungswiderstanden, Druckverlusten usw. - Anregung der Phantaisie fUr mogliche Anwendungen der Stromungslehre. Jedem der 12 Kapitel ist eine Kurzdarstellung des Stoffes mit den wesentlichen Formeln (ohne Ableitungen) vorangestellt. Diese Vorspanne sollen dem Lernenden den Stoff aus dem Theorieunterricht in Erinnerung rufen und auch beim Einpragen der wesentlichen Beziehun- gen behilflich sein.
