Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Heilpädagogik, Sonderpädagogik, Note: 1,3, Universität zu Köln (Humanwissenschaftliche Fakultät), Veranstaltung: Frühförderung und Elternberatung im Förderschwerpunkt Hören und Kommunikation, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich gemä dem Titel mit dem Belastungsempfinden, dem Unterstützungsbedarf und den Ressourcen von Eltern hörgeschädigter Kinder. Dabei werden Forschungsergebnisse unterschiedlicher Studien vorgestellt und Konsequenzen für die Elternarbeit daraus abgeleitet. Der Forschungsbedarf auf dem Gebiet des Belastungsempfindens von Eltern hörgeschädigter Kinder wurde vor etwa 20 Jahren erkannt. Bis dahin stand in den 1970er und 1980er Jahren eher das elterliche Erziehungsverhalten im Fokus der Forschung. Es wurde vielfach untersucht, wie Eltern nach der Diagnose "Hörschädigung" auf die Nachricht und insbesondere auf das Kind reagieren. In unterschiedlichen Veröffentlichungen wurde immer wieder auf die besondere Herausforderung für Eltern hörgeschädigter Kinder hingewiesen: "Die neue Mutter- und Vaterrolle verlangen vor allem die Übernahme ungewohnter Verantwortung für ein sehr abhängiges Familienmitglied." Es konnte belegt werden, dass elterliche Auseinandersetzungs- und Verarbeitungsprozesse in Bezug auf die Hörschädigung des Kindes in Wechselwirkung mit der Entwicklung und Sozialisation des betroffenen Kindes stehen . Hintermair legte bereits 1981 seine Dissertation zu elterlichen Erziehungsstilen und der Genese des kindlichen Selbstkonzepts vor . Die wichtigste Erkenntnis lag in dem Beleg, dass ein signifikanter Zusammenhang von positiven Erziehungsstilen und der Familienatmosphäre besteht. Es konnte weiterhin belegt werden, dass der Erziehungsstil Einfluss auf das Selbstkonzept des Kindes nimmt und es somit folglich in Abhängigkeit vom Erziehungsverhalten der Eltern zu Problemen in der Eltern-Kind-Beziehung kommen kann.
