About The Book

Wahrend in den letzten Jahren auf dem Gebiet der elektrischen Sachrichtentechnik zahlreiche Biicher iiber Netzwerktheorie (insbesondere auch liber Netzwerksynthese) erschienen sind, ist es meines Wissens bisher noch nicht unternommen worden, eine moderne Darstellung des gegenwartigen Standes der N etzwerktheorie der Energieubertragungs- technik zu geben. Das vorliegende Buch solI diesem Mangel abhelfen. Durch das Aufkommen und die fortschreitende Verbesserung der N etz- modelle wie auch durch das Aufkommen der elektronischen Rechenauto- maten ist die Theorie der Verbundnetze erheblich gefordert worden. Zwar. ist vieles auf diesem Gebiet noch im FluB, insbesondcre in den Anwendungen. Seit Jahren sind die USA auf diesem Gebiet fiihrend. Fast jedes Heft der Trans. A. 1. E. E. part III (jetzt 1. E. E. E. ), Power Apparatus and Systems, enthalt mehrere Arbeiten, doch sind in den letzten Jahren auch aus europaischen Landern wertvolle Beitrage geliefert worden. In friiheren Jahren galt die Beschiiftigung mit der "Berechnung elektrischer Verbundnetze" als eine Angelegenheit fiir wenige Spezialisten, zumal die Berechnung auf Tischrechenmaschinen im allgemeinen hoff- nungslos langwierig und somit auch kostspielig war. Dies wurde schlag- artig mit dem Aufkommen der elektronischen programmgesteuerten Rechenmaschinen anders. Eine entsprechende Unterweisung fiir Inge- nieure und Mathematiker war dringend notwendig. Bereits 1955 im kleinen Kreise und 1956 im groBeren Kreise hielt der Verfasser im Hin- blick auf die kommende Entwicklung Vortragsreihen vor Ingenieuren der Siemens-Schuckertwerke, um hauptsachlich die Anwendungen der Matrizenrechnung in der Netzwerktheorie bekannt zu machen.
