Hierzu wird in den vorliegenden Berichten aus dem -Club zu technischen Details wie Elastomeren Werkstoffen in Bremssystemen und zur Tribologie beschichteter Bremsscheiben durch Autoren aus der Industrie Bezug genommen. Wissenschaftler behandeln die Themen Gaslöslichkeit in Bremsflüssigkeiten, Intelligente Trommelbremse und Einflüsse von Achs- und Bremsdesign hinsichtlich NVH.

Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ralph Mayer machte 2001 seinen Abschluss als Diplomingenieur. Danach war er von 2001-2007 als Wissenschaftlicher Assistent am Lehrstuhl für Fahrzeugtechnik der TU München tätig. Das Thema seiner Promotion im Jahr 2007 lautete "Bremseninduzierte Schwingungen am Kraftfahrzeug. Analysemethodik und konstruktive Optimierung". In den Jahren 2007-2014 arbeitete er in der Fahrwerkentwicklung der Daimler AG, Sindelfingen. Seit 2014 hat er die Professur Fahrzeugsystemdesign an der TU Chemnitz inne und leitet seit 2017 den µ-Club als langjährige Vereinigung von Fachleuten aus Industrie und Wissenschaft im Bereich Bremsentechnik.
