Unternehmerisches Denken in der Beschaffung setzt voraus, da die Be- schaffung im Betrieb nicht nur als verwaltungstechnischer Vorgang, son- dern vor allem als marktbezogene Tätigkeit aufgefa t wird. Die vom Be- schaffungsmarkt abhängigen Chancen und Risiken können in ähnlicher Weise wie die vom Absatzmarkt abhängigen eingeschätzt und bewu t in das betriebliche Erfolgs-(Gewinn-)streben eingespannt werden. Der allgemein hohe Anteil von Fremdleistungen an der betrieblichen Leistung zeigt die Bedeutung betriebswirtschaftlicher Fragen, die sich mit der Bereitstellung der Fremdleistungsgüter auseinandersetzen. Für ihre Beantwortung ist es notwendig, die Beschaffung und die zwischen Beschaf- fung und Verbrauch der Güter geschaltete Lagerung als miteinander ver- bundene und weitgehend verschmolzene Tätigkeitsbereiche zu sehen. Die vorliegende Darstellung untersucht die so verstandene unternehme- rische (kaufmännische) Materialbereitstellung. Sie versucht in erster Linie die Ausgangs- und Ansatzpunkte sowie die Probleme abzustecken und zu erklären, die für die beschaffungspolitischen Entscheidungen (Entscheidun- gen unter Unsicherheit) wesentlich sind. Alle mehr verfahrenstechnischen Fragen im Bereich der Materialbereitstellung werden nur am Rande be- rührt.
