Differenzierung bezeichnet dabei die Berücksichtigung individuell verschiedener Merkmale und Lebenssituationen. Um einen Überblick über das Beratungsangebot an deutschen Schulen zu bekommen, werden zunächst Formen der Elternberatung sowie Beratungsanlässe und -themen herausgearbeitet. Mit Hilfe des Angebots-Nutzungs-Modells der Elternberatung im schulischen Kontext werden anschlie end die Rahmenbedingungen, die das Beratungsangebot an den Bildungsinstitutionen bestimmen, verdeutlicht und auf empirischer Basis die Faktoren ausfindig gemacht, von denen das Beratungsangebot an deutschen Schulen konkret abhängt. Die Ergebnisse können dahingehend einen Einblick geben, an welchen Stellen aktuell ein Verbesserungsbedarf besteht. Im ersten Teil des dritten Kapitels wird der Frage nachgegangen, welche Eltern überhaupt schwer zu erreichen sind, wer also nicht regelmä ig an Terminen zur Elternberatung teilnimmt. Um her-auszufinden, welche Ursachen Kontaktprobleme haben können, wird zunächst untersucht, wovon die Beteiligung der Eltern in der Schule ihrer Kinder abhängt, um dann konkrete Hindernisse in der Kooperation zu benennen. Der letzte Teil der Arbeit ist schlie lich Qualitätsmerkmalen einer erfolgreichen Elternberatung sowie praktischen Hinweisen für eine Differenzierung in der Beratung von Sorgeberechtigten gewidmet.
