Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich Informatik - Wirtschaftsinformatik, Note: 1.0, Hochschule Fresenius Idstein, Veranstaltung: Betriebssysteme und Rechnerarchitekturen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit hat zur Aufgabe, Betriebssysteme für Desktop-PCs und Laptops anhand ausgewählter nicht-funktionaler Anforderungen für den Informations- und Datenaustausch von Organisation innerhalb eines verteilten Systems zu bewerten. Hierfür wird zunächst eine Einleitung in verteilte Systeme anhand von Grundlagen und einer Auswahl nicht-funktionaler Anforderungen von verteilten Systemen gegeben. Darauf aufbauend werden die technischen Anforderungen solcher Systeme ergründet, die an Betriebssysteme gestellt werden. Hier finden sich das Konzept der Middleware, Funktionsweisen von Betriebssystemen und das Prinzip der Nebenläufigkeit wieder. Im Anschluss werden die populärsten PC-Desktop- und Laptop-Betriebssysteme inklusive jeweiliger gegenwärtiger Markenanteile vorgestellt. Die nachfolgende Analyse besteht aus der Gewichtung definierter Kriterien, der Bildung von Zielerfüllungsgrö en sowie einer literarischen Analyse der Betriebssysteme. Der verstärkte Einsatz von Rechnern in Organisationen fand in den 1950er-Jahren Anwendung, als erstmalig Computertechnologien zur Verarbeitung von Informationen verwendet wurden, um organisationale Arbeit zu unterstützen. Die vermehrte Nutzung von Computertechnik ist insbesondere durch die Verschiedenheit der Einsatzmöglichkeiten hinsichtlich institutioneller Aktivitäten gekennzeichnet. Gleichwohl haben die beschleunigte Weiterentwicklung und das Wachstum der Informationstechnologie (IT) innerhalb der letzten Jahrzehnte einen wesentlichen Einfluss auf die Verfahrensweise von Unternehmen ausgeübt. Ferner hat die IT eine Neubestimmung von Unternehmensstrategien forciert. So steht im Zuge des aktuell vorherrschenden Informationszeitalters das Implementieren von Informationstechnologie in Unternehmen im direkten Zusammenhang mit
