Bond, Elaine Miller: - Elaine Miller Bond is a children's book author and wildlife photographer based in the Pacific Northwest. She is the author and photographer of BFFs! BLACK-FOOTED FERRETS: Love for One of North America's Most Endangered Mammals (True North Editions). And she is the author and photographer of WILD COLORS OF THE WEST, RUNNING WILD, and LIVING WILD (Heyday Books)-fun board books about wildlife and wild places. She wrote THE PUPFISH HERO: Who Found Bravery and Buckets . . . AND SAVED A SPECIES! (SierraForever) a picture book biography of courageous fishery biologist, Edwin "Phil" Pister.Bond photographed the scientific book, THE UTAH PRAIRIE DOG (University of Utah Press), by Dr. Theodore Manno and wrote the foreword to his second book, SWAMP RAT (The University Press of Mississippi).
