SUDDHENDU BISWAS (M.Sc. Mathematics; M.Sc. Statistics; PhD), Former Professor of Statistics, University of Delhi, is Senior Professor, Department of Statistics, School of Applied Sciences, Amity University, Noida, UP.
He was also Dean, Faculty of Mathematical Sciences and Head, Department of Statistics, University of Delhi. Besides, he has taught at Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta, University of Pune, Guwahati University, and Institute of Applied Manpower Research, New Delhi.
Professor Biswas has been Fullbright Scholar and Distinguished Visitor in Statistics, University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, USA; Visiting Scholar at Department of Biostatistics, University of North Texas, Fort Worth; Rockefeller Foundation Awardee for the Bellagio Residency Program in Italy and East-West Center Workshop Program at Honolulu, Hawaii and Visitor at International Institute of Applied Systems Analysis, Laxenburg, Austria.
A Fellow of Indian Society of Mathematical Statistics, Society of Medical Statistics, and a member of Actuarial Society of India, Prof. Biswas is a recipient of Indian National Academy of Science Award. He has published 10 books, and over 100 research papers in reputed national and international journals.
