Einleitung Das Wissen um Johannes Hadlaub als einem althochdeutschen Minnes�nger ist nicht unbedingt sehr umfangreich, selbst wenn man in der Schule etwas �ber die Literatur des Mittelalters gelernt hat. Er steht im Schatten ber�hmterer Vorg�nger und Zeitgenossen, deren Werke gro e Ber�hmtheit erlangt haben. So sind z.B. die Namen Walther von der Vogelweide und Gottfried von Stra burg durchaus gel�ufiger als der Name des Z�richer B�rgers Hadlaub. Auch die Werke der gro en Minnes�nger sind oftmals bekannter als diejenigen Hadlaubs. Dabei darf man aber nicht vergessen, dass die Texte vieler mittelalterlicher Autoren uns heute nur deshalb noch bekannt sind, weil sie Teil eines einmaligen �berlieferungswerkes sind: der Manessischen Liederhandschrift. Diese entstand um die Jahrhundertwende des 13./14. Jahrhunderts - also zu Lebzeiten Hadlaubs - in Z�rich, dem Wohnort des Dichters. Es ist sogar wahrscheinlich, dass er selbst an der Entstehung dieses Werkes beteiligt war. Seinem OEuvre wurden die ersten Bl�tter der Handschrift gewidmet und das in dieser Arbeit behandelte Lied "Ach, mir was lange" steht noch dazu am Anfang seines Liedcorpus. Dieses Lied geh�rt zu der Gruppe der Erz�hllieder oder "Romanzen", die einen ersten Teil epischen Charakters aufweisen und in einem zweiten Teil eine Minneklage enthalten. Leppin vermutet, dass Hadlaub "gr� eren Wert auf die Behandlung der Minneproblematik" legte. Die Bedeutung des erz�hlenden Eingangsteiles soll - unter Ber�cksichtigung des Inhalts der darauf folgenden Minnereflexion - am Beispiel von "Ach, mir was lange" untersucht und hinsichtlich des im Thema der Arbeit formulierten Spannungsfeldes problematisiert werden.
