Jeder kennt zwar die Krankheit, die meisten verschlie en jedoch die Augen davor. So wird eine Frau, der die Brust amputiert wurde, als eventuell unästhetisch oder gar nicht mehr als Frau angesehen. Sogar betroffene Frauen fühlen sich häufig nicht mehr weiblich. Deshalb ist es erforderlich, dass Betroffene an die Öffentlichkeit treten und ihren Mitmenschen zeigen, dass sie auch mit nur einer Brust oder keiner Brust noch vollwertige Frauen sind und zudem den Kampf gegen den Krebs besiegt haben. In der folgenden Arbeit werde ich mich mit dem Thema Brustkrebs auseinandersetzen und zeigen, dass man sich als Frau, aber auch als Mann, mit der Krankheit auseinandersetzen sollte. Zu Beginn möchte ich den Aufbau der Brust erklären, da meiner Meinung nach Wissen über den Aufbau für die Selbstuntersuchung von Vorteil sein kann. Zudem soll das Wort "Tumor" aufgegriffen und erklärt werden, denn nicht jeder Tumor bedeutet gleich Krebs. Anschlie end möchte ich speziell auf den Brustkrebs eingehen und hierfür eine Beschreibung geben. Zudem werden einige Risikofaktoren aufgegriffen, von denen man annimmt, dass diese das Krebsrisiko fördern. Dieser Punkt ist leider in der Wissenschaft immer noch sehr umstritten, da es zu wenige epidemiologische Anhaltspunkte gibt. Abschlie end werde ich einen Exkurs in die Vorsorgeuntersuchungen und Selbstkontrollen machen und damit appellieren, dass es wichtig ist, diese Vorsorgema nahmen zu ergreifen. Nur so kann man die Krankheit in einem Frühstadium entdecken und hoffentlich besiegen.
