Brutus is Chosen is a fictional story based on biblical truths and tells the story of two very different men, whose faith and background were polar opposites. One was Jesus of Nazareth. He was the kindest man who ever lived. He impacted the world in a positive way, and His legacy remains to this day. The other was Brutus, a Roman centurion, whose family and friends had deep roots in Roman military traditions. You would not think that these two men could find common ground for a lasting friendship, but when something is divinely appointed, anything is possible. Diana was Brutus's childhood sweetheart, with her generous smile, olive skin and long dark hair. She was never far from his thoughts; her disposition and strong character had always been the source of his motivation and inspiration.

The message of the love of God flows seamlessly throughout this story: His kindness, forgiveness and acceptance patiently waiting for a response, especially from those who feel they deserve it the least. As with Brutus, when a person finally comes to the end of themselves and surrenders to the amazing grace of God, they find the true meaning and fullness of life. The effectiveness of Thora's writing introduced me into the personal life of a seemingly fictional character.
