Ashton has a bad day at school causing him to be in a sad mood. However, Pappy knows how to make him feel better. Full of heart and humor, Bubbles and Troubles teaches children how to focus on the positive things in their lives as a way of dealing with their troubles.

When Ashton goes to his pappy's house, he discovers that everyone has troubles - some big, some small. Pappy introduces Ashton to the concept of bubbles, which are the opposite of troubles. Whenever Pappy has a bad day, he thinks of everyone and everything in his life that bring him joy. He considers them to be his bubbles.

Enthralled, Ashton begins to compile a long list of his bubbles which includes movies, food, family members and pets. He asks the neighbors and family members what their bubbles are; in doing so, he forgets all about his bad day at school.

Bubbles and Troubles is an educational picture book with a discussion guide that parents and educators can use to help children handle their negative experiences in a positive manner.

Conner, Lisa: - Lisa Conner is a retired school teacher and counselor. She currently lives with her husband Matt in Lititz, PA. Lisa and Matt have two grown children. Lisa enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling to Rehoboth Beach, DE. Her greatest joy is spending time with her grandson Ashton.
