Penny Power OBE launched an online business community in 1998, four years before LinkedIn. Trailblazing this concept with her husband, Thomas Power, the two of them grew the network into a global community that supported hundreds of thousands of small businesses worldwide. In 2011, due to the banking crisis, Ecademy was sold and Penny began a personal journey of rebuilding her business and her life.

Penny has called herself an accidental entrepreneur for years and believes we need many emotional and mental tools to manage life as a business owner. Awarded an OBE by the Queen in January 2014 for the contribution Ecademy made, Penny has dedicated herself through her honest speaking, community building and friendship to thousands of business owners and corporate employees.

Penny is married to Thomas Power. She has three children, Hannah, Ross and TJ, and lives in the South of England. Penny places family as her highest value and extends that value into her business life.
