Um auf dem Markt wettbewerbsfähig zu bleiben, müssen die Unternehmen ihre Kosten reduzieren, eine gute Qualität gewährleisten und sich strategisch perfekt auf dem Markt platzieren. Ein Unternehmen muss eine Strategie finden, die den hohen Anforderungen des Marktes gerecht wird. Die Geschäftsprozesse, die Einsparungspotential besitzen, müssen genauer untersucht werden. Das Business Process Outsourcing wird bereits von vielen Unternehmen im Produktionsbereich genutzt. Dort werden alle Prozesse oder Funktionen, die nicht zum Kerngeschäft des Unternehmens gehören, an externe BPO-Dienstleister ausgelagert. Diese Kosteneinsparungen sind vielversprechend, doch leider nicht ausreichend. Unternehmen versuchen ihre Kosten gering zu halten, doch die Kosten der Verwaltungsprozesse steigen. Deshalb ist es sinnvoll auch diese Prozesse genauer zu untersuchen und ggf. auszulagern. Allerdings ist nicht nur der Kostenaspekt für die Unternehmen entscheidend. Diese Arbeit zeigt, welche weiteren Vorteile für die Unternehmen entscheidend sind. Ebenfalls werden auch die Nachteile untersucht. Durch eine falsche Umsetzung kann ein BPO auch einen gegenteiligen Effekt bewirken. Es wird also die Frage untersucht, welche Faktoren zum Erfolg und welche zum Misserfolg eines BPO führen. Jedes Unternehmen, welches ein BPO in Betracht zieht, muss seine Prozesse, hinsichtlich der Eignung, genau untersuchen. Diese Arbeit analysiert die Tauglichkeit bestimmter HR- Prozesse und prüft die Frage: Warum ein BPO sinnvoll ist und welche Prozesse für ein BPO adäquat sind? Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit der Herangehensweise ob und wie ein Unternehmen diesen besonderen Prozess des Outsourcings bewältigen kann.
