In this Espionage Thriller, Ruben Smith presents a character unlike James Bond or Jason Bourne. He is absolutely sure of himself except when he is not. He has regrets and doubts about-"Is it ethical?"-his loyalty to the American system of intelligence gathering. He would like to retire, but retiring from the CIA is problematic. In the end, he hopes to survive his career and find peace, but before doing so, he works to save American democracy.
