In questo libro ho presentato un'architettura e un'implementazione unificate per il caching di oggetti basate su CORBA che possono essere utilizzate per memorizzare nella cache diversi tipi di oggetti remoti con una piccola modifica del codice esistente. L'architettura proposta utilizza una combinazione di intercettatore e wrapper di oggetti per intercettare le richieste in vari punti con un overhead minimo che migliora significativamente l'efficienza. Invece di un bilanciatore di carico centralizzato, il bilanciamento del carico viene eseguito interamente in modo distribuito, il che rende il sistema tollerante ai guasti.
