The Compendium, like an encyclopedia, contains entries for most of the foundational principles and concepts underlying arbitration. Each entry takes a holistic view of international arbitration, as they tackle core concepts from both a commercial and an investment arbitration perspective, focusing on the fundamental issues underlying the various topics rather than on the solutions adopted in any particular jurisdiction, thus making the Compendium a truly cross-border, transnational resource. Bjorklund, Andrea K.: - Andrea Bjorklund is the L. Yves Fortier Chair in International Arbitration and International Commercial Law at McGill University. She is an expert in international investment arbitration and served as a member of the NAFTA arbitration team at the US Department of State. She is a member of the Advisory Board of BIICL's Investment Treaty Forum and served as one of the advisers for the Restatement on the US Law of International Arbitration.

Ferrari, Franco: - Franco Ferrari is Professor of Law and the Director of the Center for Transnational Litigation, Arbitration, and Commercial Law at New York University School of Law.

Kröll, Stefan: - Stefan Kröll is Professor for International Dispute Resolution at Bucerius Law School and Director of the Willem C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court. He is the Chairman of the German Arbitration Institute and the author of two leading treatises used for teaching arbitration.
