During long hospital days, Debra Kornfield and her daughter Karis imagined humorous storylines for childhood songs. Campfire Song Stories brings six of them to life, a parable, a comedy, a farce, a fable, a prank, and a lullaby. Embellished by the delightful illustrations of five young artists and with scannable links to the songs, this charming volume promises hours of pleasure for children and their parents.

Kornfield, Debra: - Debra Kornfield published four books in twenty years of mission work in Brazil while pioneering abuse recovery and raising four children. She framed her memoir Karis: All I See Is Grace, now also in Portuguese and Spanish, around her daughter Karis's luminous journals and poetry. Horse Thief 1898, Treasure Hunt 1904 and Facing the Faeries 1906, published in February 2024, complete the Charlie and Cally historical fiction trilogy. Campfire Song Stories is the first of several planned children's books. Living now in Pittsburgh, PA, Debra enjoys adventuring with her four grandchildren, hiking, and keeping up with her husband Dave, her seven sibs, and many South American friends. She returns to Latin America whenever she can. Follow her on HorseThief1898.blog and devotionally on ButGod.blog.

Kornfield, Karis Joy: - Karis Joy Kornfield wrote stories, essays, and poetry since she was small (see The Gladness Book, coming out soon). Karis was born in Wheaton, IL and grew up in São Paulo, Brazil. She graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame, spoke five languages, was a pioneer for intestinal and then multi-organ transplantation and lived in Pittsburgh for most of ten years before moving to Heaven in February 2014 at age thirty. Her story is told through excerpts from her twenty years of journaling in Karis: All I See Is Grace. Famous for her smile, passionate in her faith and devoted in her love for people, Karis both amused and exasperated her family through her quirky humor and pranks.
