Richard Golland has been an avid sci-fi and fantasy reader since before entering school. While serving as an officer in the United States Army, he had difficulty finding good books to read in the fantasy genre. In fact, he found several prize-winning books that he simply couldn't finish because they just weren't enjoyable for him. So he decided to write the book that he wanted to read. That book turned into a trilogy, the first installment of which is Champion of the Gods. The second book of the trilogy, Enemy of the Gods, is currently in production. Rich has traveled the world, living in Spain, Germany, Bosnia, Japan, and China. He currently works as a fifth grade teacher in the District of Columbia. Rich lives in Maryland with his wife and son
