About The Author

Dr.-Ing. Hans-Josef Endres ist seit 1999 Professor an der Hochschule Hannover an der Fakultät Maschinenbau und Bioverfahrenstechnik und leitet dort das Institut für Biokunststoffe und Bioverbundwerkstoffe (IfBB). Zudem ist er für den Aufbau des Fraunhofer Anwendungszentrums für Holzfaserforschung verantwortlich. Professor Endres hat an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum Maschinenbau mit der Vertiefungsrichtung Werkstofftechnik studiert. Nach seinem Studium war er zunächst 10 Jahre in der Industrie im Bereich der Kunststoff- und Verpackungsentwicklung tätig. In dieser Zeit hat er berufsbegleitend im Bereich thermoplastischer Biopolymerwerkstoffe promoviert. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Biopolymere, Naturfasern und Faserverbundwerkstoffe. Die Schwerpunkte liegen dabei auf der Materialentwicklung, Verarbeitung und Entsorgung dieser neuartigen Werkstoffe.

Dr.-Ing. Burkhard Plinke ist seit 1982 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Fraunhofer- Institut für Holzforschung WKI in Braunschweig. Er hat an der Technsichen Universität Braunschweig Elektrotechnik mit dem Schwerpunkt Mess- und Regeltechnik sowie Datenverarbeitung studiert und schloss 2012 seine Promotion an der Technsichen Universität Dresden ab. Plinke arbeitet an Forschungsprojekte auf den Gebieten Bildverarbeitung, Partikelmessung, Spectral Imaging und Thermographie und ist Mitarbeiter des Normenausschusses "Partikelmesstechnik" des Deutschen Institut für Normung (DIN).

Sören Fischer studiert an der Technischen Universität Clausthal Werkstofftechnik im Masterstudiengang. Bis Mitte 2015 war er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Biokunststoffe und Bioverbundwerkstoffe der Hochschule Hannover im Bereich Faseranalytik tätig. Im Rahmen dieser Tätigkeit initiierte er zusammen mit der Hochschule Bremen den Arbeitskreis Faseranalytik der Industrievereinigung Verstärkte Kunststoffe e.V. (AVK). Vorher studierte Fischer an der Hochschule Hannover den Bachelorstudiengang "Technologie nachwachsender Rohstoffe". Im Rahmen seiner Abschlussarbeit befasste er sich mit dem Einfluss der Fasermorphologie auf die Faser-Matrix-Anbindung in einem polymeren Compound.

Dr. Holger Fischer ist seit 1997 am Faserinstitut Bremen e.V. (FIBRE) tätig und arbeitet im Bereich Naturfasern und Biopolymere. Fischer studierte bis 1990 an der Universität Bremen Chemie und schloss dort 1994 seine Promotion ab. Fischer beschäftigt sich im Rahmen seiner Arbeit mit enzymatischen Fasermodifikationen, Fasercharakterisierungen, Naturfasern, Faseroberflächenmodifizierungen, naturfaserverstärkten Verbundwerkstoffen und Biocompositen. Zudem ist er Mitglied in diversen wissenschaftlichen Beiräten und Mitglied der "European Technology Platform for the Future of Textiles and Clothing" (ETP).
