This book is a compilation of my other work and has been written as a means of recording information useful to antique bottle collectors or anybody with an interest in Devon and Cornwall chemist shops in the 19th and 20th centuries.
In the main, it is based on my own research that was undertaken over the last 20 years for the following uses:

  • Articles published in Antique Bottle Collector UK Magazine
  • "Chemists - Plymouth & Cornwall" CD-ROM
  • Finds Reports for Phoenix Heritage large scale machine dig on former municipal dump in Plymouth
Unlike my "Chemists - Plymouth & Cornwall" CD-ROM from the early 2000s, I've avoided trying to turn this into a catalogue of known bottle types and the like.
