Compared to global movements, however, the responses to the CE trend in Japan, the Japanese government's CE policy, and CE management strategy in the Japanese industrial world have lagged considerably behind.
Young Won Park is a Professor of the Faculty of Economics, Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Saitama University and an Endowed Chair Professor of the Management Education and Research Center at the University of Tokyo, Japan. He holds a Ph.D. degree in the Department of Advanced Social and International Studies from the University of Tokyo, Japan. Kin'ya Tamaki is Professor of the Faculty of School of Business, Aoyama Gakuin University, and a director, SDGs and Circular Economy Partnership Institute, Aoyama Gakuin University. He received a Ph.D. degree in from Waseda University, School of Science and Engineering, 1989. His research interests are in business model innovation, future business strategy and product design and production management, circular economy, operational technology cybersecurity, and SDGs regional vitalization. He is engaged with the International Association of Project & Program Management as the president of the academic Japanese society, and Asia Pacific Industrial Engineering and Management Systems as a board member of the international academic society.
