CT scan and MRI are both informative but yet expensive imaging procedures. The patient's experience before, during and after these highly technological imaging procedures are thus unique and diverse in content. Different levels of claustrophobic and anxiety related reactions may be associated with these sophisticated procedures but though inevitable, patients at risk can be identified and managed so as to prevent any mishap and thus achieve the fullest benefit of these advanced imaging modalities. Putting in place measures that would ensure maximum co-operation from patients is therefore paramount to the role of MRI and CT imaging procedures in quality healthcare delivery. A Portfolio of evidence is therefore necessary in enabling the synthesis of enough evidence from the work of others on the same subject matter. With this evidence-led approach, the Portfolio critically evaluates the subject matter in light of current knowledge, personal experiences, and clinical practices, thus providing a deeper interrogation of evidences for a better understanding of the subject matter.

Derick Seyram Sule, MSc. is a Diagnostic Radiographer by profession. He started his career as a Radiologic technician and then had his BSc. Radiography qualification at the University of Ghana. He acquired his MSc. Diagnostic radiography qualification at Anglia Ruskin University, United Kingdom. Derick Sule has over ten (10) years of working experience in Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. He is competent and skillful in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT) scan, Fluoroscopic procedures, Sonography (Obstetrics, Gynecology and abdomen), Ward and theater radiography, and conventional radiography. Due to his rich practical experience, he has on few occasions been a CT scan application specialist and also a Consultant radiographer for some imaging centers in Ghana. His passion for teaching compelled him to join the academia in 2010. He joined the academia as a Senior Research Assistant (SRA) and currently a Clinical tutor at the School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Ghana. Derick Sule teaches Radiographic anatomy, Radiographic technique, Radiobiology and radiation protection. He is currently a doctoral student studying at the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. He is a member of the Ghana Society of Radiographers (GSR) and University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG). Derick Sule is happily married to a Biomedical Scientist (Patience Sule) who also works as a Medical lab scientist at Ghana's premier teaching hospital, Korle-Bu. Derick and his wife are blessed with four lovely children (Faith, Herbert, Virtuous and Harpreet). His hobbies include; playing musical instruments (Guitar and Piano) and hanging out with his family.
