Varindra Kumar Varma is an acclaimed Hindi writer who holds a degree in law and a doctorate in philosophy. He specializes in linguistic philosophy, and worked as a senior research fellow at a centre of advanced study in philosophy. He was a professor of philosophy for years, and retired as a principal from higher education service. Dr. Varma has researched the logic of language, the role of logic in grammar, and methods of exploiting the native learner's knowledge of his mother tongue in learning English. He published two books on language and grammar in English and one in Hindi.
