About The Author

Madoff, David C.: -

Dr. David C. Madoff is a Professor at Yale School of Medicine, where he is Vice Chair for Clinical Research and Section Chief of Interventional Radiology. Board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Vascular and Interventional Radiology, he previously spent a decade at MD Anderson Cancer Center and later served as Division Chief of Interventional Radiology at Weill Cornell Medical Center before joining Yale in 2019.

Dr. Madoff is renowned for his pioneering work in Interventional Oncology, particularly in preoperative portal vein embolization to enhance liver resection for cancer patients. His expertise includes hepatobiliary, genitourinary, and vascular interventions, as well as advanced biopsy and ablation techniques.

An active leader in academic radiology, he has authored over 220 peer-reviewed articles and held editorial roles, including Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Madoff is a Fellow of several prestigious societies and has received Honorary Membership in the Chinese College of Interventionalists, highlighting his global influence.
