Im ersten Teil werden Clinical Reasoning und Pflegeprozess vorgestellt und zum CRA-Prozess zusammengefasst. Es wird auf Eigenschaften und Tugenden eingegangen, die helfen, den Prozess des Clinical Reasoning umzusetzen. Um das Thema zu erfassen sind Kenntnisse der Prozess-Schritte notwendig, die im Anschluss vorgestellt werden. Im vierten Teil werden die Ebenen erläutert, in denen der CR-Prozess das Pflegesetting determiniert. Mit dem Situated Clinical Decision-Making Framework wird ein Modell vorgestellt, welches eingesetzt werden kann um den Entscheidungsprozess voranzubringen. Der Teil 6 geht vorwiegend auf die geläufigsten Formen ein, beschreibt aber auch CR-Formen, die weniger häufig in der Literatur zu finden sind. Im Anschluss werden Richtungen des CR und übergreifenden Formen vorgestellt sowie auf temporäre Ebenen eingegangen. Die sechs Elemente des Clinical Reasoning finden ihre Beschreibung im 10. Kapitel, dem sich förderliche Instrumente anschlie en. Der CR-Prozess mündet schlie lich in einen Entscheidungsprozess, der im vorletzten Gliederungspunkt behandelt wird. Eine Zusammenfassung mit Kritik und Ausblick schlie en den textlichen Teil ab.

Horst Siegfried Kolb; BA, MSc, wurde 1968 in Kronach geboren. Nach einer Ausbildung zum Staatl. anerk. Altenpfleger und mehreren Fort- und Weiterbildungen studierte er berufsbegleitend zur Tätigkeit in der stationären und ambulanten Altenpflege zunächst den Bachelor-Studiengang Medizinalfachberufe mit Schwerpunkt Lehre. Es folgte ein Studium in Gesundheits- und Pflegepädagogik mit Abschluss zum Master of Science. Seit einigen Jahren ist der Autor als Lehrer an Berufsfachschulen für Altenpflege tätig.
