This book was originally the Author's thesis, written based on a real lesson and experience when the Author worked in a multinational top tech consulting company as a cloud migration engineer from one of the biggest cloud transformation projects in Asia, a nearly one year project since the preparation until the implementation. Includes detailed information about cloud vendor, cloud architecture, and the cloud migration methodologies comparison and why it's the most suitable for the client's (PT. XYZ) use case as well as in technical and business goals. Established as the XYZ Group's parent company in 2000. Currently PT. XYZ oversees more than 18 companies thatengage in various lines of business. These range from providers of world-renowned heavy equipment products and services brands, energy companies integrated from upstream to downstream, consumer retail businesses, information technology, and integrated financing providers to property.The scope of this book is to provide the analysis focus on existing processes and infrastructure related to the on-premise data center in PT.XYZ (As-Is), give suggestions on the management of on-premise data center in PT.XYZ by describing the future process after applying the cloud and doing cloud migration (To-Be), design the cloud migration activities. As Author's tried to blend the existing theories and terms for cloud migration, this successful project was basically using the hybrid-cloud approach and REMICS methodology, and in this book, it is explained thoroughly between the theories and the practical. The As-Is and To-Be business and technical processes are illustrated in a form of activity diagram as well hence it's very clear to see the difference of how cloud migration is an impactful initiative for the enterprises. This book contains more than 50 figures that also illustrate the network infrastructure diagram, cloud pricing calculator cases, commercial process diagram, etc. AWS is the cloud vendor that is being used for this cloud transformation project, the value proposition of AWS for PT.XYZ use case and the involving products also listed in this 153 pages book.
