Valantin, Elias: - Elias Valantin writes from a systems-oriented perspective, drawing on insights from biology, physics, technology, and the study of complex systems. The concept of a planetary-scale intelligence, described here as the "TerraBrain", emerged during early reflections in the 1990s, shaped in part through philosophical discussions during the au-thor's student years. It represents an attempt to understand how increasing integration of information systems may give rise to new forms of coordination beyond individual human cognition. The focus of this work is not the author, but the patterns and processes that shape the development of complex systems.
