Ahmad, Faizan: - Faizan Ahmad is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Cardiff School of Technologies, Cardiff Metropolitan University. He is a member of the Creative Computing Research Centre. With over 12 years of teaching and research experience in computer science, he has developed a strong background in various areas of the field. He has developed and led courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Games, and Web and Mobile Application Development. His research interests lie in AI, HCI, Gamification, Metaverse, Internet of Things (IoT), and Machine Learning (ML) based solutions for Smart Learning, Assistive Technologies, Educational Technologies, Healthcare, and Industry 5.0. To date, he has published 30 high-quality research articles, with a total impact factor of 55.46 and over 700 citations (h-index: 7, i10-index: 5) in prestigious conferences and Q1 journals. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the Distinguished Foreign Student Award by Beihang University, China, and Fellow status by the Higher Education Academy, UK.
