About The Author

Meaux, Robert: - Dr. Robert Meaux is a Houston-based historian, writer, and lifelong comic book collector. He has been involved in comic fandom since the 1970s, attending local conventions, building extensive collections, and engaging with the community he now documents. He serves as Executive Director of the Humble Museum and has held leadership roles in regional historical organizations, including the Harris County Historical Commission. Over a 36-year career in education, he worked as a teacher, administrator, and university instructor. Meaux has authored multiple local history books and a long-running newspaper column, combining archival research and personal experience to preserve Houston's cultural history.
