Informative, instructional, layman-termed publication for everyone who owns a vehicle, wants to take care of it, save money, and get the most from their investment. Additional tips on buying and selling and lemon law scenarios.

James E. (Jim) Lewis is a native of Lake Jackson, Texas, graduated from Columbia High in West Columbia, Texas in 1982, and entered the Air Force a week later. His love of automobiles and pretty much anything with wheels has been a cornerstone in his life since he was 2 or 3 years old. He attended the University of Maryland while on active duty, but his primary vocation, education, love and hobby revolved around cars and trucks. After leaving active duty, he entered the car business - first in sales, as a fleet manager and finance manager, then on the service side, where he served as a service manager. He was heavily involved in inventory control, attending auctions to purchase vehicles for dealership stock, as well as evaluating trade-ins during the sales process. His service management experience allowed him to work as a technical instructor at Universal Technical Institute (UTI), where he taught on preventive maintenance, suspension and steering, alignments, wheels and tires, and UTI's "Hot Rod University". His experience also allowed him to delve into expert witness work, beginning in 2001. He has been involved with some of the biggest names in consumer law, and he specializes in lemon law, breach of warranty, and dealer fraud cases, with over 9,000 formal, written opinions so far. He also opines in cases involving the towing and trucking industry. This book, guide, manual, whatever you want to call it, is the obvious next step for Jim in informing people about his own automotive fascination. He plans future sequels with specialized information and advice, based on input from friends, family, and his readers.
