Propaganda was one of the important tools that the Communist Party used to create an attractive vision of the community in the USSR and in all countries where it came to have a significant degree of power to promote its ideological approach to society. It became an integral weapon in the strategy of Marxism-Leninism. However, the communist ideal of society concealed the persecution, exclusion, marginalization, and discrimination of groups considered undesirable or asocial and establishing great economic, social, and political differences between the ruling class and the rest of the population. Radios, newspapers, movies, theater, flags, banners, posters, music, buttons, uniforms, and books created an environment that facilitated the domination of the ruling class and the creation of a supposedly egalitarian society in which no one could meet their basic needs, except the political leadership. Communist propaganda was essential to create the "State of Deception," in which lies and manipulation were state policies and where all citizens could be deceived for the benefit of the alleged supreme common good. The influence of the visual arts was powerful in the URRS, and particularly the posters were used as an essential medium to convey the deceptive narrative of the regime.
