Maricela chose that poetic form framed in fourteen lines, a symbol of the infinite, the sonnet. The symmetry of the book generates a balance, as if each poem were a painting by a great artist, the offspring of surrealism. The pages form a gallery of mirrors, subdivided into verses and syllables that turn the waters into letters in a breviary, written on green lines to inhabit a starry sky. And so, the spots on the panther become stars in the night.

They are sonnets but set to the sounds of contemporary times. Rhyme and meter move at their will; they expand beyond the original framework. They escape through the crevices of some memory from Paris, some love lock, or a Swiss landscape the author saw one day and leaves there, in some recess of her opus, as watery recollections that overflow the frame, like that ocean that becomes an upright page in a Dali painting.

Maricela, the generous princess of Tlayolapa, has chosen to create literary works that promote the expression of others in her own language. From this personal journey into the depths of knowledge and spirit, she crafts her vision of the origins of earth, fire, and water and they wave in the deep blue of the night.

Containing poems of love, of friendship, and of fraternity, Concert of Sonnets encapsulates commonly experienced emotions of life and themes. The sixty-five sonnets, two free verses, and one panegyric will awaken a torrent of emotions that will make your heart one with the author.

Maricela Ramirez Loaeza was born in Guerrero, México. At the age of fourteen, her first son was born. In the mid 1990s she immigrated to the United States, were she currently resides with her husband and her three children. Her main motive for writing is to find her first-born son. Loaeza has published five books: (Poemas por amor, 2004) (Poemas Ineditos por Amor, 2005) (Búsqueda de Amor, 2008) Sowing Dreams (2013) and Concert of Sonnets (2017). She has organized poetry recitals and contests. In 2009-2010, her poetry and paintings have been showcased in the Calendar of Mental Health Services Act. Since 2004, she is the president and founder of Arymex International Literacy Circle. She is also vice president and Co-Owner of a landscaping company called, Landscaping Juan Santana, in Santa Ana, CA., USA.
