Ever since his first book, the best-selling Teaching Magic, took an unsuspecting public by storm in 2010, Alun Keighs has been continuously inundated with all kinds of letters. His simple yet extraordinary message, that magic is part of our working lives, has touched minds in peculiar and often unexpected ways, altering perceptions of education the world over. As his fame and status have grown, it has become harder for Alun to treat personally the millions of people who look to him for guidance and support. It is a natural extension, therefore, of his good works that he has written the highly acclaimed Conjuring Education, a self-help business-management book that will empower everyone engaged in education by introducing them to the extraordinary power of Blind Energy. At the heart of this book is a set of exercises, tips and exciting cognitive realignments devised and tested by the author himself. Each has been tailored to promote best OOS practice in OS, allowing Blind Energy to access all areas. Conjuring Education is a handbook for both the ambitious and the lost soul in education, an indispensable guide to TaL health and happiness. It is also a useful manual for education providers everywhere: it talks to organizations as well as people. It is, in short, a vade mecum for anyone involved in education healing in the modern world, as well as a priceless contribution to the literature of OS.
Alun Keighs was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1953. His maternal grandfather was a master locksmith and prominent member of the Rosicrucian Society, while his father, Skelton Keighs, was in close contact with the Other Side for most of his long and uneventful career as a school janitor. Before qualifying as an education mystic, Alun combined night-shifts in a poultry processing plant with part-time work as a spiritual medium and star-gazer. He has at various times taught vitamin and mineral therapy, cosmic pedagogic navel gazing, corporate yoga and commercial divination. He now lives and practises in Kendal, Cumbria. Since publication five years ago of his ground-breaking book, Teaching Magic, Alun has made numerous appearances on both radio and television and is a regular, much-loved contributor to the Times' Incantation Supplement. He is author of two highly influential books on modern pedagogy - the best-selling Teaching Magic and the much admired Teaching and Learning: Sisyphus Reloaded. A committed occasional vegan, he cares passionately for the environment around his house and enjoys nothing better than long conversations with his psychic cat, Heraclitus (who, the author swears, is a reincarnation of Jim Callaghan).
