Dr. Manik Lal Gupta is currently Head of the Deptt. of History in Y.D. Postgraduate College, Lakhimpur Kheri (affiliated to Kanpur University), wherein he joined in 1970. He is the author of over 25 research papers published in professional journals and is supervisor of Post-graduate research. He has previously published a book on British History. At present he is engaged in rewriting the regional and social history of the Uttar Pradesh.
