The first part of the book looks at your home from a psychological perspective, exploring how your home may already be indicating your future without you knowing exactly what it's saying. In the second part of "Conversations with Your Home," Carole offers exercises to help you make a connection with your home. Each exercise is intended to help you open the door to having an active communication between you and your space. The third part helps you understand your home by identifying an archetype that your space may be expressing. Nine different archetypes are presented for consideration, accompanied by a questionnaire to assist in discerning the unique energy your home may be holding. All three sections of the book are intended to help you build and nurture a healthy and vital relationship with your home. In doing so, you will realize that you are not alone in your journey but instead are connected to a conscious energy that happens to come to you in a spatial format. This energy can help you feel whole and safe so that, in the end, you can create your perfect life.

Carole J. Hyder has accomplished success as a Feng Shui consultant, speaker, teacher, author, and trainer. She has been a Feng Shui consultant since 1992, having studied with Professor Thomas Lin Yun and Roger Green, both master teachers in their respective philosophies of Feng Shui. She has facilitated hundreds of residential and commercial consultations in both traditions. She is co-founder and president of the Feng Shui Institute of the Midwest, an organization dedicated to creating standards for practitioners, providing continuing education and community outreach. Carole has published two books besides "Conversations with Your Home" --- "Wind and Water: Your Personal Feng Shui Journey" and "Living Feng Shui: Personal Stories." She has produced two DVDs as well: "The Science of Feng Shui: How and Why Feng Shui Works" and "Listening to Your Language." Additionally, Carole is the founder and lead faculty of the award-winning Wind & Water School of Feng Shui, established in 1998. Over 300 students have gone through her program, which is now licensed by the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. Carole appears monthly on KARE-11's Showcase Minnesota TV show presenting various Feng Shui topics. In December 2006, she completed a graduate degree from the University of Minnesota in East Asian Studies.
