He is the author of numerous books, among them Politics in Iberia: The Political Systems of Spain and Portugal, An Introduction to Comparative Politics, Latin American Politics and Development, New Directions in Comparative Politics, American Foreign Policy, Corporatism and Development: The Portuguese Experiment, Democracy and Its Discontents, and Corporatism and National Development in Latin America.
