La 'Critique de la Philosophie Kantienne' d'Arthur Schopenhauer n'est pas un simple commentaire, mais une pierre angulaire indispensable � la pleine compr�hension de son oeuvre majeure, 'Le Monde comme Volont� et comme Repr�sentation'. Publi� initialement comme appendice, ce texte r�v�le l'ampleur de la dette intellectuelle de Schopenhauer envers Kant, tout en marquant une rupture audacieuse et fondamentale. Schopenhauer, avec une acuit� intellectuelle redoutable, se livre � une analyse minutieuse et souvent virulente des concepts fondamentaux de la 'Critique de la raison pure'. Il salue Kant pour avoir distingu� le 'ph�nom�ne' de la 'chose en soi', une distinction qu'il consid�re comme la plus grande contribution � la philosophie. Cependant, il reproche � Kant d'avoir laiss� la 'chose en soi' inaccessible, un 'X' inconnaissable. Pour Schopenhauer, cette 'chose en soi' n'est autre que la 'Volont�', cette force aveugle et irrationnelle qui sous-tend toute existence, se manifestant dans le monde comme 'repr�sentation'. Cette r�interpr�tation audacieuse est le coeur de sa propre m�taphysique et le pivot de sa critique. L'auteur s'attaque �galement avec force � la table des douze 'cat�gories de l'entendement' de Kant, qu'il juge arbitraire et artificielle, un v�ritable "lit de Procuste" impos� � la r�alit�. Il r�duit ces cat�gories � une seule, celle de la 'causalit�', qu'il consid�re comme la forme essentielle du 'principe de raison suffisante', unique et universel.
