Curiosa Mathematica, Part 1: A New Theory Of Parallels is a book written by Charles L. Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll, in 1890. The book presents a new theory on the concept of parallels in geometry. Dodgson argues that Euclid's fifth postulate, which states that through a point not on a given line, only one line can be drawn parallel to the given line, is not necessary in geometry.
