He has published widely on Lawrence. He has edited (with John Worthen) D. H. Lawrence's 'Sons and Lovers': A Casebook (2005), and is the author of D. H. Lawrence and Italian Futurism: A Study of Influence (2003) and The Life of D. H. Lawrence (2016).
