Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich Romanistik - Französisch, Note: 1,3, Universität zu Köln (Romanisches Seminar), Veranstaltung: Interne und externe Geschichte der westromanischen Sprachen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Hausarbeit beleuchtet die sprachlichen Wechselwirkungen zwischen dem Italienischen und dem Französischen während der Renaissance, einer Epoche, in der kultureller und sprachlicher Austausch besonders intensiv war. Schon vor der Renaissance gab es zwischen Italien und Frankreich vielfältige Kontakte, doch im 15ten und 16ten Jahrhundert verstärkte sich der Einfluss Italiens auf Frankreich durch militärische, wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Verbindungen. In dieser Zeit wurden Tausende von Italianismen in die französische Sprache übernommen, was sowohl durch die italienische Vorherrschaft in verschiedenen Bereichen als auch durch die direkte Interaktion zwischen den beiden Kulturen gefördert wurde. Die Arbeit führt ein in die Grundlagen der Entlehnung fremdsprachlicher Elemente und erklärt, wie Sprachkontakt und Entlehnungen sowohl die externe als auch die interne Sprachgeschichte beeinflussen. Es wird dargelegt, dass Lehnwörter und andere entlehnte sprachliche Elemente eine natürliche Folge von Sprachkontakt sind und lebendige Sprachen von toten unterscheiden. Des Weiteren wird die Bedeutung Italiens in der Renaissance und sein sprachlicher Einfluss auf das Französische detailliert beschrieben. Dieser Einfluss reicht von Handel und Militärwesen über Hofleben und Mode bis hin zu Kunst, Literatur und Musik. Die Arbeit untersucht auch das wachsende Sprachbewusstsein und den Purismus in Frankreich, welcher zur Gründung der Académie française führte. Die Diskussion um die Aufnahme von Neologismen und den Gebrauch von Fremdwörtern spiegelte sich in unterschiedlichen Ansichten wider, die von der Bereicherung der Sprache bis hin zur Notwendigkeit, das Französische vor zu vielen Entlehnungen zu schützen, reichten.
