About The Book

Die zwischen der 3. und 4. Auflage liegende Zeit brachte bei der raschen Entwicklung der gesamten Technik auch fUr das Gesenkformen eine so groBe Zahl neuer Erkenntnisse in wisscnschaftlicher wie betrieblicher Sicht, daB eine vollige Dberarbeitung dieses Buehes notwendig wurde. Das gilt ganz besonders fUr die Arbeiten, die in der 1950 an der Technischen Hochschule Hannover errichteten Forschungsstelle fUr Gesenkschmieden durchgefUhrt wur- den. Das Werkstattbuch "Gesenkformen 1" solI in erster Linie die Lernenden, namlich Studenten, Lehrlinge und Praktikanten, aber auch die Techniker, Konstrukteure und Ingenieure anderer Faehgebiete anspreehen, soweit sie sich mit Gesenksehmiedestucken befassen. In groBen Ziigen sollen sie in die gesamte technisch wichtige Problematik des Gesenkschmiedens eingefiihrt werden. Dem eigentlichen Schmiedefachmann stehen umfangreiehere Werke wie aueh die Forschungsergebnisse in- und aus landischer Stellen zur Verfii- gung. Fragen, die die Werkzeuge, sowohl Formgesenke als aueh die Abgrat- werkzeuge, betreffen, werden in dem Werkstattbuch Heft 58 "Gesenkformen II" ausfUhrlich behandelt. Hier wird auf die Gesenkwerkstoffe, die Gesenkformen und ihre Herstellung sowie auch die der Abgratgesenke eingegangen. Dureh die vorliegenden, als Einfiihrung in das Gesenkformen gedaehten Aus- fUhrungen solI die Verbindung zwischen dem Verbraueher und Hersteller von Schmiedestucken geschaffen und vertieft werden.
