Besuchen in Deutschland etwa zehn Prozent der Schüler nicht-staatliche Einrichtungen, so sind es in den Niederlanden weit über 70 Prozent. Mit der folgenden Arbeit soll nun die aktuelle Situation in Schweden dargelegt werden. Hierzu steht zu Beginn eine genaue Betrachtung des Gesamtschulwesens in Schweden im Vordergrund, um die Gesamtproblematik besser verdeutlichen zu können. Im Einzelnen soll hier ein Einblick in die historische Schulentwicklung gegeben werden und auf die gegenwärtige Organisation des Schulsystems sowie dessen Grundaufbau eingegangen werden. Der zweite Teil der Arbeit beschäftigt sich dann mit den nicht-staatlichen Schulen in Schweden. Auch hier soll ein kurzer historischer Überblick gegeben werden, um die gegenwärtige Situation genauer beleuchten zu können. Welche Auswirkungen sich durch den Einfluss der nicht-staatlichen Schulen ergeben, wird in einem abschlie enden Punkt dargestellt. Eine Schlussbetrachtung fasst dann noch einmal die wichtigsten aktuellen Punkte des schwedischen Bildungssystems zusammen.
