In Band 1 der "Beitrage zur Psychopathologie" (Verantwortlichkeit, Personlichkeit und Erleben) hat sich der Verfasser bemuht, fiir das Problem der Beurteilung der menschlichen Verantwortlichkeit, sowie es sich in der gerichtlichen Psychiatrie stellt, eine LOsung aufzu- zeigen. Grundlage fur die LOsung war die strukturalistisch-formale Auffassung der Begriffe Personlichkeit und Erleben. Das strukturalistisch-formale Konzept der Psychopathologie konnte im Rahmen der Darstellung, die vorrangig yom gerichtspsychiatrischen Interesse bestimmt war, nur in seinen Ansatzen klargestellt werden. Mannigfaltigen psychopathologischen Fragen, die ins Blickfeld traten, konnte nicht weiter nachgegangen werden. Es lag nahe, das strukturale System der Psychopathologie in einer gesonderten Schrift zu entwickeln. Dies ist die Aufgabe, die im hier vorgelegten Band 2 in Angriff genommen worden ist. Der Verfasser hat sich bemuht, Wiederholungen aus Band 1 zu vermeiden. 1m allge- meinen Teil der Ausfiihrungen hat er die Gelegenheit wahrgenommen, die kritischen Abgrenzungen von nichtstrukturalistischen Methoden und Theorien weiter abzuklaren und zu vertiefen. 1m speziellen Teil dieser Schrift waren Wiederholungen dadurch zu vermeiden, daB auf friihere Ausfiihrungen verwiesen werden konnte ohne daB dies dazu gefiihrt hatte, daB das Verstandnis der vorliegenden Schrift die Kenntnis der friiheren voraussetzen wurde. Fur Anregung und Unterstutzung seiner Arbeit ist der Verfasser mehreren Autoren Dank schuldig. Insbesondere mochte er in diesem Zusammenhang Professor Dr. H. Witter, dem die Arbeit gewidmet ist, nennen.
