Das Wunder der Organisation besteht darin, dass menschliche Information und Kommunikation zu funktionaler Wirksamkeit führen und wie "selbsttätig" ablaufen.

Georg Schanz, Postfach 14 03 31, 40073 Düsseldorf Georg Schanz hat Betriebswirtschaft in Hamburg studiert und war danach zunächst im Controlling (J.D. Möller, Optische Werke Wedel, Beiersdorf Hamburg, Herose Hamburg, IBM Sindelfingen, SABA Villingen) beschäftigt. Aufgrund einer Fördermaßnahme des Regierungspräsidenten Düsseldorf konnte er ein Studium der Wirtschaftspädagogik (Universität Köln) aufnehmen. Bedingung war, dass er gleichzeitig als Lehrer an der Fachschule für EDV (Düsseldorf / Hochdahl) tätig wurde. Unterrichtsfächer: Allgemeine Betriebswirtschaftslehre, Unternehmensstrategie und Unternehmensplanung, Marketing und Unternehmensführung, Verwaltungsorganisation und Entscheidungsprozesse, Organisationsstrukturen und -prozesse (Planung und Realisierung mit EDV-Einsatz), Rechungswesen mit Wirtschaftlichkeitsanalysen, Finanzierung, Investitions- und Finanzmanagement, Projekt- und Investitionsrechnung, Ertrags- und Kostentheorie, Grundlagen der Produktions- und Materialwirtschaft (Logistik). Nach dem Studiums der Wirtschaftspädagogik an der Universität Köln habe hat er am Lehrstuhl an einigen Projekten mitgearbeitet (Information, Kommunikation und Interaktion, psycho-soziale Wirkungen in Organisationssystemen, Organisation und Automation, Organisationsmittel Datenverarbeitung, Didaktische Prinzipien im Unterricht an Wirtschaftsschulen, Lenkung und Impulsgebung im wirtschaftsberuflichen Unterricht, Theorien / Modelle der psycho-sozialen Pädagogik), bildungspolitische Entwicklungstendenzen der beruflichen Weiterbildung. Die Abschlussarbeit an der Universität Köln "Die Gestaltung der Interaktionen zwischen Trägern organisatorischer Gestaltung und Organisierten - Mögliche Konzepte und ihre Problematik" war eine interdisziplinäre organisations-psychologische Aufgabenstellung zwischen den Lehrstühlen Wirtschaftspädagogik (Prof. Schmiel), Organisation (Prof. Grochla) und Informatik (Prof. Schmitz). Diese Inhalte waren ein für mich wichtiger Auslöser der später von mir veröffentlichten Fachbücher. Danach war er 47 Jahre insgesamt (1959 - 2006), davon 30 Jahre in der Personal- und Organisationsentwicklung tätig sowohl angestellt (IBM Deutschland Sindelfingen, Stuttgart, SABA Villingen, bei DIETZ Computer-Systeme und der Océ Deutschland GmbH Mülheim an der Ruhr) wie freiberuflich (SIEMENS München, Karstadt Essen, Commerzbank Frankfurt).
