Çetin, Korkut: -

Korkut Çetin, 1963 yılında Merzifon'da doğdu. Lisans eğitimini Gazi Üniversitesi Kamu Yönetimi Bölümü'nde tamamladıktan sonra, aynı üniversitenin Siyaset ve Sosyal Bilimler anabilim dalında yüksek lisans yaptı. Akademik merakı doğrultusunda öğrenimine devam ederek, Anadolu Üniversitesi'nde Bitkisel ve Hayvansal Üretim ile Veterinerlik bölümlerinden; Atatürk Üniversitesi'nde ise Acil Durum ve Afet Yönetimi alanından önlisans dereceleri aldı.

Lise yıllarında başlayan gazetecilik ilgisi, üniversite döneminde ilk yerel gazetesi Türbin'i kurmasıyla profesyonel bir kimlik kazandı. Üniversite yıllarında hocasıyla birlikte hazırladığı akademik bir çalışma kitap olarak yayımlandı ve bu çalışmanın ardından, dönemin Başbakan Başdanışmanı tarafından kurulan ekibe davet edilerek iki yıl boyunca danışmanlık yaptı.

Askerlik hizmetinin ardından profesyonel iş hayatına adım atan Çetin, Vakıfbank Menkul Kıymetler Bölümü'nde Müdür Yardımcısı olarak görev aldı. 1996-1999 yılları arasında çeşitli radyo, gazete ve ekonomi dergilerinde borsa yorumculuğu yaptı.

Emeklilik sonrasında yeniden medyaya yönelen Çetin, Çayyolu Medya Grubu'nu kurarak yaklaşık 15 yıl boyunca üç farklı haber dergisinin yönetimini üstlendi. Aynı zamanda Çayyolu TV ve Radyo Çayyolu'nun sahibi olarak medya grubunun başkanlığını yürüttü.

2023 yılında edebiyat alanına adım atan Korkut Çetin, 2024'te yayımlanan "Kayıp Kedi Heykelinin Sırrı" adlı eseriyle çocuk edebiyatı ve macera türüne yeni bir soluk kazandırdı. Akademik birikimini edebiyatla harmanlayan Çetin, okurlarına hem eğlenceli hem de düşündürücü eserler sunmaya devam etmektedir.
